**48500 LPN - Dialysis - PART-TIME**


The License Practical Nurse is held accountable for following the policies and procedures of the department, organization, and CHI.

**Essential Duties:**

+ Obtains patient care assignments from the RN.

+ Based on care plan, implements care and reevaluates care based on the patient response to treatments..

+ Administers specified medications, by either oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular,intradermal, or intravenous route as per scope of practice. Documents response tomedications.

+ Assembles equipment for procedures and uses patient supplies appropriately during procedures commonly performed by the LPN.

+ Assesses patients and reports changes in condition or adverse reactions to medications or treatment to charge RN or MD; Documents patient status.

+ Documents all pertinent information in patient record at the patient bedside.

+ Performs various patient care tasks appropriate to the individual patients.

+ Educates patients and families regarding disease process, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions; Documents this education.

+ Transcribe physicians orders.

+ Accountable for meeting goals set at yearly evaluations.



Current North Dakota LPN License, current American Heart Association BLS

I.V. Certification is required.


Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree preferred.


Prior Medical-Surgical Nursing preferred.

Pass color blindness test.
